February 2008 - PA Group today announced that it has commenced a process to investigate a sale or outside investment in the PA Sport business. This follows the completion of the review of the strategic options and further interest expressed by a number of parties in acquiring or investing in PA Sport.

PA Sport is a highly successful business and a world leader in its industry. The board has determined that the PA Group will retain the core Press Association sports wire to ensure that it continues to serve its wire customers.

Any transaction will only be contemplated on terms which recognise the considerable strategic potential of the business and with a partner that the PA Group believes is committed to developing the business.

Gleacher Shacklock has been appointed to advise PA Group and to handle discussions with interested parties.
