April 2007 - PA Sport, the world's leading sports information provider, has broadened its UK golf coverage after assuming national tournament press officer duties for the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA).

As the PGA's national tournament press officer, PA Sport will attend events and supply previews, score updates on tournament days and end of play reports on member tournaments throughout the season. The service covers all men's and women's regional qualifiers and national Championships, the next being the PGA Senior Club Professional Championship, on 2-4 May in Northamptonshire, UK.

The editorial generated will be issued to the national and regional sports media, via an ongoing press release service.  It will also be available via the PGA website (www.pga.info) and included in The PGA Professional Magazine.

PA Sport has, for the last 12 months, undertaken a similar role solely for the PGA's South region (which covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Channel Islands, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex).

Additionally PA Sport, in conjunction with the PGA, continues to produce ‘Top Tip' graphics from instruction given in interviews with leading golfers on the European Tour. PA Sport already produces a weekly, four-page e-bulletin on behalf of the PGA, which is provided free of charge to the regional and national media and a headline Golf News package to the PGA website.
