PA Sport scores multimedia partnership with the British Basketball League.

March 2008 - PA Sport, the global leader in sports information, has signed a deal with the British Basketball League, which lasts over four years, to become their multimedia and broadcast rights partner.

PA Sport will offer their expertise on a range of multimedia solutions covering data, TV, Internet, mobile, sponsorship and rights management.

Chris Buckley, Chief Executive Officer of PA Sport said: "We are delighted to be working with the British Basketball League, who have a great opportunity to use multimedia for the benefit of the sport. The explosion of digital platforms means the BBL can now utilise PA Sport's experience and proficiency to meet the needs of the next generation of basketball fan."

The BBL has been a major sport in the UK for over twenty years and has achieved a loyal fanbase which can now be more completely served with PA Sport's support. In addition to providing broadcast and commercial expertise, PA Sport are also providing a fully managed website which will include the hosting, design, build, and content management. PA Sport will also assist the BBL in developing a range of products for fans including the use of media bulletins, newsletters, SMS and MMS services and WAP services.
